Our Mission at Old Dominion University
Panhellenic Council is the voice of all seven PHC chapters at Old Dominion. We will be an equal and united body, and serve as both a resource for and a representation of all chapters. We will improve unity between all chapters and councils, recruit and reach beyond the Fraternity and Sorority Life community, and serve as a model of the ideal Sorority woman, as outlined by our creed.
Letter from the Panhellenic President
On behalf of the Panhellenic Council, we would first like to welcome you to Old Dominion University and thank you for your interest in Fraternity and Sorority Life! Old Dominion has a unique dynamic of Fraternity and Sorority Life because our community consists of four different councils, Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Panhellenic Council (PHC). Our PHC community is made up of seven different social sororities: Alpha Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Kappa Delta, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Although all of our chapters have their own particular values, the four pillars that are the model for ODU Greek Life are Scholarship, Leadership, Friendship, and Service. If you are a motivated woman who is interested in getting involved within your college community, having life-long friendships, and becoming a leader, please feel free to come by the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office located in Webb University Center Room #1061 for more information about how to join a sorority at ODU!
The process to join a Panhellenic sorority is called Fall Formal Recruitment, FFR, which will take place September 15th-18th, 2016. Additional information about ODU PHC Sorority Recruitment will be given at Previews, Sorority 101, Panhellenic Pride Week, and other various ODU sponsored events, or feel free to email us at email@example.com. We look forward to have you become part of our Greek Life community!
In Panhellenic Pride,
Panhellenic Council President
Panhellenic Council Creed "We, as undergraduate members of women’s fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities. We, as fraternity women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic Life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to life."
